UltraSeal Systems Type II has a lower solids content (60%) than its UltraSeal Type III counterpart (section 6). It’s applied in two coats and left to cure for up to 24 hours before the road is reopened to traffic. This material was applied via hand-sprayer on a tow-behind distributor and then finished by hand (here by Coatings, Inc).

Like many seal coating products, UltraSeal Type II is designed to protect the surface of an existing roadway, preventing the loss of fine asphalt and limiting oxidization.
